When I took my camera out at the show I realized I never put my memory card in D; but at least I have lots of pictures!(: For those of you who don’t know, CPI is an invitational horse show, held at PBIEC (same place/time as WEF), similar to an iea/ihsa show. You are introduced to college style riding and given the opportunity to meet many college coaches and representatives. There’s also seminars throughout the weekend about college riding. It was so informative, helpful, and a ton of fun! And I can’t wait to go again next year! So lets start with my flat: I flatted really well! We broke from canter to trot twice (for like 2 steps), so that worried me, but I still eneded up placing 6th out of 12! So I was very happy with myself! And for the jumping portion: (btw sorry on 2 jump pics, my mom couldn’t get a good spot to stand so I didn’t have to many) I ended up on the same horse! (lucky me ;D). My round was pretty nice I though, except we chipped a couple jumps. Well the horse I was riding had been ridden previously, and being he was a naturally slower horse, he was tired. We were doing pretty well, but broke to a trot in 1 corner, and because I didn’t want to trot the fence and risk a refusal, I did a circle and picked up a nice canter again. The rest of the course went very well and we got pretty much all of our distances! But because of the circle, I was out of the ribbons. But I’m okay with it because I think …
